Outstanding design reflecting coming EASA ELA regulations
The EuroStar SLW is the latest evolution of the worldwide popular Evektor EuroStar line reflecting expected changes in European UL regulations with coming EASA ELA1 category. The EuroStar SLW airframe comes form EASA JAR-VLA certified pilot training airplane and is designed for 600 kg MTOW. Using of the state-of-the-art design software and optimalization methods enabled Evektor design team to keep aircraft empty weight on 296 kg in standard equipment configuration and meet so current UL regulations of selected European countries.
Highly durable advanced all metal airframe with all joints riveted as well as bonded for prolonged service life
The airplane has anodised and corrosion-proof aluminium airframe. It is the only very light airplane with all joints of construction riveted as well as glued/bonded for high durability and long service life - this plane will look and feel the same after 1,000 hours of flying as it did when it was a new! Combination of riveting and bonding technology improves also airplane crash characteristics, eliminates dangerous unzipping in accidents and ensures smoother and quiter flight because drumming and flexing are absent.All heads of pop rivets are filled with sealing for high longevity of riveted joints and for smooth and clean surface of aircraft. Canopy and airframe meets turnover conditions of EASA JAR-VLA regulations
The canopy and airframe is desinged to handle turnover conditions and meets all the crew protection requirements of the EASA JAR-VLA regulations. The airplane passed through all required tests, including also airframe crash tests, drop tests, flutter tests, spin tests, etc.
Engine is the now legendary 100hp Rotax 912ULS
Legendary for its reliability and smooth operation. Now with a 1,500 hour time-before-overhaul (TBO), there are many still flying after 4,000 hours on the same crank.
