SportStar RTC becomes the first EASA certified aircraft approved with Dynon SkyView glass cockpit

Following to several months of certification process EASA has approved glass cockpit Dynon SkyView in the popular PPL training aircraft the SportStar RTC. The SportStar RTC has become the first EASA Certified aircraft in the world approved with the modern SkyView glass cockpit from Dynon Avionics. Dynon SkyView in the SportStar RTC has proven compliance with certification requirements of the EASA CS-LSA regulations as well as EASA Certification Policy for Glass Cockpits.

Dynon SkyView represents the latest development in the area of glass panels on the market of light sport airplanes. The SkyView is full redundancy Glass Cockpit with 10” EFIS and 7” EMS displays, ADAHRS module, GPS Mapping modul and 3D Terrain / Synthetic Vision System.

The first SportStar RTC with Dynon SkyView Glass Cockpit will be  delivered to France in these days, other SportStar RTC airplanes for different markets are under production. The first glass cockpit aircraft will be operated by the air club Les  Alcyons – one of the biggest clubs in Paris area. The SportStar RTC, registration F-HMAD, is equipped with the SkyView 10” EFIS and 7” EMS screens, ADAHRS module, dual GPS Mapping, 3D Terrain / Synthetic Vision System, COMM/NAV/VOR/LOC Garmin GNC 255 receiver and ballistic recovery system.  The aircraft will have also Apple´s i-Pad mini installed, bringing extended convenience and functionality in the cockpit.
